Good Mail Karma

When I went to check up my little dorm mailbox, I found two stuffed letters and a post card waiting for me! Being surprised by letters from penpals is why I love getting and sending out snail mail.

The first envelope was from my LWA penpal, Ashley.

She's the first person I wrote to Alaska. I also loved that the Alaskan used-postage stamp (there probably is an official name for it...err) is a picture of their state. It also looks hand stamped which is awesome!

Ashley sent me a wonderful lengthy letter which I loved reading through! And a recipe for homemade chai tea. I have yet to have a proper cuppa of chai so maybe during spring break I will try her recipe out!

The next envelope was from my friend Emma. She sent me a lovely letter, healthy organic tea (which I will happily sip today), a funny valentine's card a cute doodle of a cat. I love how quickly Emma responds to my letters! It's such a rarity to have such quick responses via snail mail.

Emma always has some cute doodle in her letters. Ha ha.

She also showed me a sneak peek at the fantasy novel that she recently finished writing. This excerpt was about a badass female heroine who escapes execution through her own badassery despite everyone else telling her that her lover will not come to her rescue. So cool!

The last post card was from a giveaway that I won a while back. I was actually extremely confused to who this postcard was from for a good five minutes. Although after the initial confusion passed, I was extremely flattered and felt very happy reading such kind words from Maya

She even drew a cute picture of me from one of my selfies posted on my tumblr blog!

I also sent out three letters today!

Recently, I watched Spirited Away and got inspired to draw a kaonashi (no face) on an envelope. I sent the envelope to one of my art penpals, Stephanie. The next letter was a response to Brianna who is one of my tumblr followers. The last letter was about my spring break plans to an old good friend

Anyway, I should be getting to my never-ending list of homework/chores!
